My Love,
You won’t believe that I’m truly typing these words.
After losing Elijah, I felt the need to start again and pursue a new set of dreams.
The best decision I ever made was to relocate to New York.
My strategy was complete.
A fresh start with a new group of friends, a new career, and a new experience.
A fresh experience was mine as well.
The father of my dearest buddy.
It was meant to be a forbidden liaison, but turned into so much more.
There was more than just friendship that bound us together.
It was a bond stronger than blood.
The prospect of starting over again filled me with dread, but now I find myself eager to embark on a brand-new adventure, albeit not the one I had originally envisioned.
I love you, but you screwed me over.

Dear Heart, You Screwed Me Book Summary
A love story between two teenagers: Reese and Killian. employee-employer romance. Romance centred on the father figure. Numerous styles are represented.
Reese moves to New York City and gets a job in public relations. She meets Connie, a vivacious and outgoing local who helps her become oriented in the city. They’re quite close now. Reese needs to get away from her present and her past for just one night. When she gets to the bar, she orders a bottle of champagne from a man named K. She has no idea that they will run into each other again so soon.
Mine. Killian’s thoughts only revolve around Reese. He needs her like oxygen; he wants her so badly. Once he turns around, she’s already in bed. It’s incredible. He finally met the one. Finally, he runs into her again. They are hampered by impediments. Putting them in a position where they have to pause and consider their options. Together? Separate? Distant love?
I really wanted to like this book. I read the books and followed the plot closely, yet I couldn’t help but feel that I was missing something crucial. The initial flutter of attraction. He just kept making the same mistakes again and over. It seemed to me that the plot was constantly trying to top itself. And at that point, I was like, WTH? Ultimately, everyone was satisfied. Um ok. No more drama, please. To put it simply, I was pressed for time.
I found Killian to be really unappealing. If I hadn’t already gotten so far away from him, I never would have gone back. Everyone’s time was being wasted on him. Even his own, he added. Connie was my favourite of all the characters. Want her book now.
