Two commitment-averse people with extraordinary sexual chemistry have a one-night encounter that ends with them getting married in Vegas. Eleanor is a free-spirited aesthetician, whereas Crew is the starting quarterback for a professional football team in Las Vegas. A spiteful judge prevents them from legally divorcing after they file for annulment and orders them to remain married for 30 days. A combination of close quarters, crazed tension, and flashbacks to the wild wedding night causes the couple to burst into flames.
This book, HOLY COW! It took me a while to get into the MCs and the humour, but once I did, I was hooked. I like Trilina’s focus on the “every woman” in her writing. The reader is free to put oneself in the FMC’s shoes thanks to the lack of physical description of Eleanor.
If you want something light and entertaining with a bit of heat, this is a good choice. It’s ideal for the summer because of how hot it gets. Even though Eleanor and Crew provide the most of the book’s heat, you’ll also get a scene of “group activities” involving Crew’s best friends and teammates, Nate and TJ.
