Too Late Book Summary
Colleen Hoover did her thing, and here we are with a free book thanks to wattpad. Reading it on that site is a bit of a hassle because I couldn’t figure out how to highlight anything, but I really enjoyed the discussion that ensued. In any case, CoHo + gratis = a near-certain victor.
Sloan, a student, has an unfavourable relationship with Asa, a local drug dealer, and is at the centre of the plot. Therein lies the rub: she also becomes romantically linked with another college student, Carter.
The sexual content that CoHo included took me by surprise. That much passion from her was completely unexpected, but it was very welcome. It’s not incredibly detailed, but it’s still a big step up from what we usually see.
There’s a lot of tension in the plot that I can’t reveal here without giving anything away. The “plot twist” and the reference to six centimetres were both brilliant. The peculiar word and sentence play was my favourite part. Whence does CoHo draw such inspiration?
I’m pleased I didn’t give up and kept waiting for all the epilogues to be written. We can only hope that this is the final chapter; nevertheless, with CoHo, everything is possible.
